Packanack Golf Club Dress Code

The Board has reviewed and updated PGC’s dress code to ensure all members and guests respect the Club, the game, and enjoy our Club comfortably. As such, it is important that all members and their guests adhere to the stipulations of the dress code in every area of the Club. The purpose of the dress code is not to dictate fashion, but rather establish a dress guideline that will ensure an atmosphere of dignity and respect for the game, fellow members, and our guests.

The PGC dress code always allows for smart golf club casual dress.

For men, smart casual attire includes golf shirts, slacks, and shorts that are traditional in length. Shirts must be collared (with long or short sleeves) or uncollared (with long sleeves) and must be tucked in.

For women, smart casual attire includes golf shirts, slacks and golf shorts or skirts. Sportswear must be collared (with or without sleeves) or uncollared (with long or short sleeves).

Except as noted below, the following items are prohibited (which includes the course, clubhouse, and patio):

T-shirts, sports jerseys, or shirts with slogans.

Sweatpants, gym shorts, gym shirts, and hoodies (hoodies made for golf are acceptable).

Exercise clothes/leggings/spandex/stretch clothing.

Cargo style shorts and slacks.

Jeans, denim material of any color and items denim in appearance (jeans are acceptable for lunch or dinner).

Cut-off shorts.

Hats must be worn with bill forward.

It is important to remember, if a member of the staff mentions a dress code policy infraction to you, please do not feel affronted by the dress code reminder as they are only doing their job. Please direct any questions regarding dress code to the current House Committee Chairperson.
